Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our custom process, lab-grown diamonds, payment, and care. Don't see your question? Reach out directly.

What kind of jewelry do you offer?

We create custom jewelry across every major category: engagement rings, wedding bands, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. Every piece starts as a conversation about what you're envisioning, whether that's a classic solitaire, a stacked tennis bracelet, a pendant built around a specific stone shape, or a design you've only sketched out in your head.

Nothing in our catalog is fixed inventory. Each order is built around your chosen diamond, metal, and setting, so two customers rarely end up with the exact same piece. If you can describe it, or send a reference photo, we can usually source the stone and build it.

How does the process work?

We keep it simple and collaborative, from your first message to the day your piece arrives:

  1. Share your vision. Tell us about the piece you're dreaming of, including style, budget, and timeline, in a complimentary consultation.
  2. We source the stone. We hand-select certified lab-grown diamonds that match your specifications and send you a few options to compare.
  3. Design and approve. You'll review a custom render of your setting and request revisions until it's exactly right, before anything goes into production.
  4. Handcrafted and delivered. Once approved, your piece is handcrafted, quality-checked, and shipped out, ready for its moment.
What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept PayPal (Goods & Services) and Venmo (Goods & Services) for all orders. Credit card payments are coming soon as we onboard a dedicated payment processor. Using Goods & Services, rather than Friends & Family, keeps your purchase covered under PayPal's and Venmo's buyer protection policies, which is why we require it for every transaction.

Do you offer a warranty?

Because each piece is custom made, we back it against manufacturer defects for 7 days after delivery. This covers issues like a loose stone or a flaw in the setting that shows up right out of the box.

We don't currently offer extended warranties beyond that window, so we strongly recommend insuring your jewelry through a provider like Jewelers Mutual or adding it to your homeowner's or renter's policy. Insurance protects you long term against loss, theft, and accidental damage in ways a manufacturer warranty never will.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds share the same chemical, physical, and optical properties as mined diamonds. The only real difference is where they're formed: a lab replicates the pressure and heat conditions found underground, rather than the diamond forming in the earth over millions of years.

They're graded on the same 4Cs (cut, color, clarity, and carat) and hold up to the same durability. The main practical difference for most buyers is cost, since lab-grown diamonds typically run significantly less than a comparable mined stone.

How long does it take to receive my custom piece?

Most custom pieces take about 6 weeks from final design approval to delivery. That timeline covers sourcing your diamond, casting and setting the piece, quality control, and shipping. Simpler designs can move faster, and more intricate settings or larger stones may take a little longer. We'll give you a specific estimate once your design is confirmed.

What if I have a loose diamond already?

If you already have a loose diamond or gemstone, we can set it into a custom piece for you. Just let us know what you're working with during your consultation and we'll design around it.

Is my diamond certified?

Yes. Our lab-grown diamonds come with IGI (International Gemological Institute) certification, which verifies the diamond's cut, color, clarity, and carat weight, along with confirmation that it's lab-grown. You'll receive the certification alongside your finished piece, and the report number can be independently verified on IGI's website.

How do I know what ring size to order?

If you already know your ring size, just share it during your consultation. If you're not sure, we recommend getting sized at a local jewelry store, which only takes a few minutes and is usually free. For surprise proposals, sizing from an existing ring the person already wears is often the easiest workaround.

Because every ring is made to order, we build it to the exact size you provide, so getting this right matters more than it would with off the shelf jewelry.

Do you require a deposit for custom orders?

Yes. Custom orders require a 50% deposit upfront to begin sourcing your diamond and starting production, with the remaining balance due before your piece ships.

How should I care for my jewelry?

Lab-grown diamonds are just as hard and durable as mined ones, so everyday wear isn't a concern. To keep your piece looking its best, clean it every few weeks with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, and a soft toothbrush, then rinse and dry with a lint-free cloth. Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals, and abrasive cleaners, which can damage the metal setting even when the diamond itself is unaffected.

Do you ship, and is my package insured?

Yes, every order ships with tracking and insurance for the full value of the piece, so you're covered from our hands to yours. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order goes out, and higher value shipments may require a signature on delivery. If you have questions about a delivery window for your specific order, just reach out and we'll walk you through it.

Do you offer moissanite jewelry?

Yes, we offer moissanite as an alternative stone option for any custom piece, from engagement rings to earrings.

What is the difference between moissanite and a lab-grown diamond?

Moissanite and lab-grown diamonds are both created in a lab, but they're different gemstones entirely. Moissanite is made of silicon carbide, while a diamond, lab-grown or mined, is pure carbon.

That difference shows up in a few practical ways: diamonds rank a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale versus moissanite's 9.25, so diamonds hold up slightly better to decades of daily wear. Moissanite also throws more colorful, rainbow-toned flashes of light due to its higher refractive index, while diamonds give off the classic white sparkle most people associate with the stone. Moissanite is generally the more budget-friendly option of the two.
